Track and Field (360)

It would appear that swapping from buttons to stick for the running is a good idea, as my time for the 100m dropped from 12.40-ish to 9.09s, and everything else improved somewhat too. I even managed to pass the hammer throw, and clear two high jump settings, although faulted too many times and failed the qualifying jump. That puts me ahead of “I’m the bestest ever at Track and Field” Zomoniac from ugvm. So HA.

Track and Field (360)

I said I wasn’t going to buy this. But, I bought it anyway, and then spent an hour or so completely destroying my wrist. Button mashing on an Xbox 360 pad == badness. And I can’t do the hammer throw without fluking it, and I can’t do the high jump at all. And why can’t you just practice individual events? Rubbish.

Games played this week

I’ve not had time to update this week, but, unusually, I’ve managed to play a fair amount. Apollo Justice (DS)Still plowing through the second case. I’ve started cross-examining the accused’s girlfriend. I think I know what the story is, and who did it, and why. Hurrah! Animal Crossing (Wii)Same as it ever is, really. Played for about 20 minutes each day, just pottering round Cheese; a bit of fishing, some fossil collecting, weeding, chatting to the other residents, and that …

Spyglass Board Games (Demo) (360)

I downloaded this last week but never got round to playing it, so while waiting for Track and Field was downloading, I had a play. It’s meh. There’s not really much wrong with it (aside from the silly 3D camera angle), but there’s nothing special about it either. Why, though, is the logo for “Spyglass” not a spyglass at all, but a telescope?

Run Baby Run Guide

After a discussion in comp.sys.sinclair, it was discovered that many people were pants at this fantastic game. Almost everyone was, in fact. Except me, being the Baby-Master (er, or something) that I am. Apparently. Anyway, I decided to relieve the frustrations of those less fortunate than me, by imparting this players guide to them. Be thankful, mortal fools… Level 1 – Bolton Gas Works Not too difficult. Follow the white line around the two blocks in the top left, and …

Kororinpa (Wii)

It’s Super Monkey Ball, only more tilty! Sort of. It’s technically easier than Super Monkey Ball as there isn’t really a time limit. You do have to collect crystals, however, but if you die then any already collected are kept, making the next attempt a bit easier. What I mean by “more tilty” is, well, exactly that. In The Game With Monkeys In, you only tilt the controller a small way in any direction, and there’s a limit to how …
